Day 01: Arrival in Lima

You will be picked up at the airport in Lima and taken to your hotel.
Day 02: Flight over the Andes to Cusco
You will fly over the Andes and arrive to Cusco, the historical capital of the Inca Empire. The rest of the day will be free; you can relax in your charming hotel with a cup of coca tee or have a walk around the city. (B)
Day 03: Excursion to Tambomachay - Puka Pukara - Qenqo - Saqsayhuaman
In the evening our bus will take you to the four Inca ruins of Tambomachay, Puka Pukara, Qenqo and Saqsayhuaman above Cusco. Our Tour guide will lead you through various centuries of history from the Inca to the present times. (B)
Day 04: Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Inca: Chinchero - Maras - Moray - Saltmines
Crossing the altiplano you will arrive to Chinchero with its huge terraces and an overwhelming view of the cordilleras Vilcabamba and Urubamba. You will continue to Moray where circular terraces had been an agricultural "research laboratory" of the Inca. They had taken advantage of the difference in temperature from one terrace to another (approx. 1.5 degrees Celsius) and created an irrigation system for the cultivation of different crop strains. In the afternoon you will reach the Salineras of Pichingote, which have been used since pre-Hispanic times. You will stay in a charming hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. A tasteful dinner will be served. (B, L, D)
Day 05: By train to Machu Picchu
Today you will enter the train to Machu Picchu at Ollantaytambo and have an overnight stay in Aguas Calientes. You can discover the famous Inca ruins of Machu Picchu on your own. (B)
Day 06: Return from Machu Picchu to the Sacred Valley of the Incas
This day will offer you the opportunity to visit Machu Picchu already in the early morning. In the afternoon you will return to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the relaxing atmosphere of your hotel, dinner included. (B, D)

Day 07: Through the Sacred Valley of the Inca: Ollantaytambo - Pisaq
In the morning you will visit the impressive Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo. After a rich lunch in historical surroundings you will explore Pisaq, one of the largest archaeological sites of this region, and have a walk around the village. Return to Cusco in the afternoon. (B, L)
Day 08 - 11: Tour to the Manu National Park

Day 08: CUSCO - TAMBO PAITITI
We start our jungle tour leaving from Cusco in the early morning in our private bus. During the journey along the small road, we will pass an impressive landscape and small communities. Leaving the colonial village of Paucartambo behind we reach the Acjanaco Pass (3550 m/ 11.647 ft), the entrance to the Manu National Park. There you will have a first view over the eastern slopes of the Andes to the canopy of the Amazon rainforest. During the trip further down you will observe the fascinating change from the altiplano to the Cloud Forest of the Manu National Park with its unique fauna and flora. In the early afternoon you will reach the San Pedro River. A short jungle walk will take you to the Manu Eco Lodge

Day 09: TAMBO PAITITI - TAMBO EORI

The early morning is the best time for bird-watching and observation of other animals of the Cloud Forest. From the observation tower or the different platforms of
TAMBO PAITITI itself and right above the San Pedro River you may see the Andean Cock of the Rock (national bird of Peru), Toucan, Quetzal, Tanager and Motmot as well as Woolly Monkeys, Brown Capuchin Monkeys, Tayra, Agouti, Southern Tamandua and South American Coati. The Manu Cloud Forest is also habitat of the Night Monkey, the rare Spectacled Bear, the Jaguarondi, Ocelot, Puma, Weasel, Otter, squirrels and a big family of rodents and bats. After a delicious breakfast in
TAMBO PAITITI you will continue the jungle tour to the Amazon lowland rainforest until reaching Atalaya and the Alto Madre de Dios River. After about one hour by boat you will be expected in our Lodge
TAMBO EORI (470 m/ 1.542 ft) at Maskoitania, the former settlement of the Masko Natives. Nearby the Jaguar has been seen several times! (B, L, D)

Day 10: TAMBO EORI - TAMBO PAITITI
Different jungle trails, which are used exclusively by our groups, will lead you into primary and secondary rainforest. The lowland jungle is the habitat of more than five hundred different species of birds, several species of monkeys, a lot of butterflies, amphibians and reptiles. An observation tower will offer you the best possibilities for wildlife observation. You may also see otters and caimans at an oxbow lake nearby. After lunch you will return to the Cloud Forest and
TAMBO PAITITI where you can just relax observing nature from the terraces of the lodge and other viewpoints, or you can have a refreshing bath in the San Pedro River. (B, L, D)
Day 11: TAMBO PAITITI - Cusco
This morning offers another opportunity for the observation of the Manu Cloud Forest's wildlife. After breakfast you will take our bus back to the Acjanaco Pass and down to Paucartambo. On our journey back to Cusco you can enjoy once more the variety of landscapes Peru offers. Arrival in Cusco in the afternoon. (B, L)
Day 12: Flight over the Andes from Cusco to Lima
We will accompany you to the airport in Cusco where you will enter your plane back to Lima. (B)
