Day 01: Cusco - Tinki

We will leave Cusco during the morning in our private bus. After a four hour journey through the southeastern highlands of Peru and picturesque Andean villages you will arrive in Tinki, the starting point for your hike through the Cordillera Vilcanota. There you will meet your local guides and pack animals.
Day 02: Tinki - Hot Springs of Upis
Today is the beginning of your trekking tour leaving from Tinki. After some three hours uphill you will get to the altiplano of Upis. You will spend the night at the hot springs of Upis, at the foot of the Nevado Auzangate, surrounded by llamas and alpacas. Camp at 4.200 meters / 13.779 feet.
Day 03: Upis - Rapa Pass - Huchuypucacocha
After a hot bath in the morning you will continue your hike, ascending the slopes and crossing the picturesque landscape at over 4.650 meters/ 15.256 feet (Rapa Pass). In the afternoon you will reach Lake Pucacocha with the western icefall of the Nevado Auzangate which is dominating the view of the campsite at 4.400 meters/ 14.436 feet near the Lake Huchuypuca.

Day 04: Huchuypucacocha - Apuchata Pass - Palomani Pass - Uchuy Finaya
Today we will cross two high passes (Apuchata Pass: 4.800 meters/ 15.748 feet and Palomani Pass: 5,200 meters/ 17.060 feet), and with some luck you will see vizcachas (highland rabbits) and condors, the world's largest flying bird. From the second pass you will see the beautiful turquoise lake called Ausangatecocha. Camp at Uchuy Finaya at 4.600 meters / 15.092 feet.
Day 05: Uchuy Finaya - Jampa Pass - Minaparayoc Lake
You will continue your trek along the peaceful Jampamayo River Valley, surrounded by the snowcapped mountains of the Cordillera Vilcanota. You will have to master the last pass of this trip, the Jampa pass at 5.050 meters/ 16.568 feet. Beach camp at the Lake Ninaparayoc at 4.600 meters/ 15.092 feet.
Day 06: Minaparayoc - Pacchanta - Tinki - Cusco

Early in the morning you have to master a final hike downhill to the Pacchanta valley. After approximately 4 hours you will have the possibility to take part in the preparation of a typical food, called Pachamanca: vegetables and Alpaca meat cooked in a stone oven. Besides you will be invited to a relaxing bath in the hot springs. Finally you will hike back to Tinki and return to Cusco by bus, arriving in the evening.
