TAMBO PAITITI is waiting for you with eight charming double bedded rooms and roofed terraces, a dining area with terrace, an observation tower and the toilets and lavatories. All platforms are thatched with palm leaves and connected by wooden bridges. Inspired by the traditional architectural style of the Manu rainforest and purely built of natural materials, TAMBO PAITITI melts perfectly with its surroundings, the Manu Cloud Forest.

TAMBO PAITITI's excellent location on a plateau above the San Pedro River is unique in the Manu Cloud Forest: Already from your room or theterrace of the lodge you may observe different species of birds or monkeys. You will find a lot of viewpoints inside or around the lodge forundisturbed wildlife observation. In addition we are offering different hikes around the lodge which will lead you into the cloud forest in order to enjoy its rich flora and fauna.

TAMBO PAITITI offers an extensive library with reference books, specialized literature and illustrated books. We would like to invite you to do some reading in these books, discovering more about the secrets of the Cloud Forest and the National Park in addition to the information given by your guide.

We have prepared a didactic path near the lodge which provides a lot of information about flora and fauna. Feel free to follow it and make your individual excursion, looking for the answers of your questions.
We invite you to spend some days in this little paradise. Enjoy tranquility and remoteness and the full service of our crew at the same time. Explore nature on shorter and longer walks around the lodge, listen to our guides explaining flora and fauna ofthis unique ecosystem and witness its immense biodiversity in its natural habitat:the colourful Cock of the Rock, Quetzal, Trogon, Tanager, Oropendola and Motmot, as well as monkeys, insects and many other animals.
Or lean back in a deck-chair and observe the animals from the viewing terrace. Take a refreshing bath in Rio San Pedro, browse our extensive library about rainforests and their flora and fauna and let our cook indulge you with his creations.

Fauna
The cloud forest has created a fascinating animal world, in particular a great variety of birds. It is the home of the national bird of Peru, the Cock of the Rock (rupicola peruviana) and other birds like Quetzal, Trogon, Tanagar, Oropendula und Motmot.
The following mammals live in the Manu cloud forest: the Spectacled Baer, Woolly Monkey, Capuchin Monkey, Tamanduar, Capybara, Otter, Puma, Ocelot, Jaguarundi and others. Butterflies, walking Sticks and other insects can be found in all colors, forms and sizes. In the cloud forest most of the trees grow smaller than in the lowland rainforest, as a result you often do not even need binoculas for the observation of animals!

Three days a week a local bus leaves from Cusco to the Manu National Park. After about 6 hours you will arrive at San Pedro in the Manu Cloud Forest, where our staff will be waiting for you and lead you on a 15 minutes walk to TAMBO PAITITI. Welcome to the Manu Eco Lodge TAMBO PAITITI! Take a rest and stay as long as you like to and enjoy the idyll of the Cloud Forest in private atmosphere.
